Your Fell Coat · fitting Before the first wet walk.
A coat that fits on the kitchen floor can still ride up on a hillside. Five minutes now saves a soggy dog later.
| 1 | Collar first. The high collar should sit close without touching the throat when they pull on the lead. |
| 2 | Belly strap snug, not tight. Two fingers between the strap and the chest. It is what stops the coat twisting on a scramble. |
| 3 | Watch the first walk. If the hem sits past the base of the tail or shows the ribs, swap the size. You have 30 days. |
Most dogs who wear a coat also need a harness that does not fight it. The Ridge Harness is cut to go underneath.
 | The Ridge Harness £39 A Y-front harness that leaves the shoulders free to move. |
